eShakti Review

When I went public with my blog, a friend of mine told me I would start getting companies offering to send me merchandise to review. I doubted anyone would take that much interest in my little blog, but over the past six months, my blog has been growing considerably thanks, of course, to my lovely followers, and, to my delight, companies seem to have noticed.  

One company who realized you and I would both love their products is eShakti.com who specializes in women's casual fashion. I must admit that I hadn't heard of this line of clothing until they emailed me, but I am so glad they did! I got to pick out a dress, and that was just the start of my fun. 


Shopping on their website was a breeze. The hardest part was limiting myself to one item. They offer so many stylish dresses and cute summer clothing for women. I selected this vintage inspired dress and began the process of ensuring it was a perfect fit. After all, one of the reasons I rarely order clothes for myself online is the risk of it not fitting properly or not looking flattering. I've ordered a few items in the past from stores I'm familiar with only to be disappointed because the top was too revealing or the pants were too long. 

Well, when shopping at eShakti, I didn't have that problem, and neither will you. They give you two options to ensure a perfect fit. You can either order a standard size based on your bust, waist, and chest measurements or you can custom order the dress by giving them your exact measurements. They tell you everywhere to measure, and you fill it in. I went for the first option because my proportions perfectly matched their size 8. I must admit that I wasn't too happy that I fit an 8 since I typically wear size 4 or 6; however, I know that when sewing, we often go up a dress size, and I had to remind myself that nobody sees the number, only the look of the outfit, and the look of this outfit was lovely! 

But I'll get to my joy upon receiving the dress later. Right now, I still want to boast about their online features. After you determine your size, you can still make other styling adjustments such as how long you want the sleeves and hemline or whether you want pockets. How can they do that? According to their website, they make their dresses after you order them instead of having dozens  if not hundreds of them sitting in a warehouse. That makes sense!

Picking out an outfit is great because they provide you with all the details you need to know about their modern modest clothing. Not only do they list the fabric materials but also washing instructions and details about how to put it on. Now that's helpful! 

After selecting my dress, I received an email a week later, notifying me that it had been shipped. I followed the shipping code they gave me and was elated when my dress arrived the following day. I pulled it out of its box where it was wrapped protectively in a sealed plastic bag and tissue. Trying it on, I was happy to see how well it fit me despite that pesky size 8 on the label, but we'll keep that secret between us. 

I then examined the dress carefully because I wanted to make sure the quality met my expectations. It actually exceeded them. I've taken a number of close up pictures of the dress so you can see for yourself. The stitching and buttons are all top-rate, and upon turning the dress inside out, I noticed another neat feature. They have straps that allow you to snap them over your bra straps, so you don't have to worry about your bra being exposed. I've never had that on a dress before, yet this is simply genius in my book!

 

The dress was a little tricky to slip on and off due to having just a partial zip closure on the side, but that was described online. However, I wanted to point it out if you have any difficulties with slipping dresses on over your head. I would prefer the zipper to go all the way up to the arm hole to make it easier to slip on and off, but with that said, I love the look of the dress and the fact that you can't see the zipper at all when it's up.

Overall, I am very happy with the look of my new dress, its quality and sizing. I will definitely shop from them again and hope you'll check them out as well.
